NEW DELHI: Union External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal denied US claim of brokering peace between India and Pakistan. The spokesperson in pure diplomatic parlance also asked Pakistan to hand over the occupied Kashmir region immediately to end further squabbles.
INDIA:
“India is willing to engage in talks with Pakistan only on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India has effectively conveyed the message to world countries. No country has made any intervention to stop the fight. As the escalation worsened, Pakistan approached the US for help.
The talks were held only between the military DGMOs of both countries. There is evidence of Pakistan abetting in the Pahalgam terror attack.
It was the military-level talks that led to a ceasefire. The claims of third country intervening to stop the fight is baseless.”
