Modi-Starmer 'Vision 2035' meeting in Mumbai on Thursday

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will meet on Thursday to discuss issues including the India-UK 'Vision 2035' and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Starmer, who arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday for a two-day visit, was accorded an official welcome. This is Starmer's first official visit to India after ascending to the post of Prime Minister.

Starmer's visit to India follows Modi's UK visit in July. Starmer is accompanied by a large delegation of businessmen and education domain experts

'Vision 2035' consists of ten time-bound plans to be implemented over a period of 10 years in the areas of trade, investment, technology, innovation, defence, security, climate, energy, health, education and people-to-people connectivity. The two leaders will participate in the CEO Forum to be held at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai at 10 am and will discuss the opportunities created by the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with business and industry leaders. Both leaders will also deliver keynote speeches at the Global Fintech Fest at 2:45 pm.
