NEW DELHI: The NIA team investigating the conspiracy in the Mumbai terror attack case will again question David Coleman Headley, who is lodged in a US prison. It is reported that the NIA obtained important information about Headley's role when it questioned Tahawwur Rana, who was brought to India from the US. The NIA was able to question Headley only once in 2010, while he was in US custody.
Rana has been in NIA custody since April 11. Apart from Rana and Headley, information has been received about some other people who played a key role in the planning. It is also learnt that the investigation team received crucial clues from Rana regarding a meeting he had with a few people in Dubai.
In this situation, the NIA is exploring the possibility of questioning Headley again. Rana, who is being kept at the NIA headquarters in Delhi, was questioned for the ninth day yesterday. He is being subjected to medical examination every 48 hours.
