Rahul demands immediate arrest of Adani, BJP says it's all Congress' drama; War of words in Lok Sabha

NEW DELHI: Opposition uproar in Lok Sabha demanding adjournment of the House for discussion on the Adani issue. The opposition alleged that the ruling party is protecting Adani. Following the uproar, the Speaker adjourned the House. Both the Houses were adjourned after the opposition gave a notice demanding a discussion on the Adani issue.

Rahul Gandhi told the media that Adani will not accept any charges and should be arrested as soon as possible. 'Do you think Adani will accept the allegations? He will definitely deny it. Gautam Adani should be arrested as soon as possible. Don't hundreds of people get arrested on petty charges. Adani should be in jail,' said Rahul Gandhi.

BJP national spokesperson Tom Vadakkan alleged that Rahul Gandhi was speaking for US investor George Soros. This is not an attack by the Congress, but a script by Soros is being played out in India. The US administration has realized that this is a case using Soros' funds. Tom Vadakkan told India Today that this is a drama being played by the Congress in collusion with those outside India to defeat India economically. BJP has previously alleged that Soros, who has strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has links with the Congress. Tom Vadakkan challenged the Congress to file a complaint. He also said that if there is an investigation, the link between Soros and the Congress will be clear.
