NEW DELHI: Senior advocate R Venkataramani has been appointed as Attorney General by the Central Government. The current Attorney General K K Venugopal’s term ends tomorrow. Minister for Law Kiren Rijiju's office confirmed the appointment on Twitter. He will take charge on October 1. The appointment is for three years. Venkataramani, who served as a member of the Law Commission of India in 2010, has been serving as the Special Senior Consul of Tamil Nadu for 12 years.
