Speeding jeep rams into rear of parked lorry in Vellore; three people killed in accident

CHENNAI: Three persons were killed when a jeep rammed into the rear of a parked lorry in Vellore. Those who were in the jeep died. The incident took place on the Chennai-Bengaluru highway. The accident took place at Konavattam near Vellore early this morning. One person who was seriously injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at a hospital. The jeep which met with the accident had the Chennai natives travelling in it. They were on their way to Vellore from Chennai.

According to locals, the jeep was speeding. The jeep lost control and rammed into a lorry parked on the side of the road. The jeep, which was completely damaged in the accident, was cut open so that people could be pulled out. Three people died on the spot. The police have registered a case in this regard.
