Union Minister Prahlad Patel gets sextortion call; Two arrested

NEW DELHI: Two people who tried to blackmail Union Minister Prahlad Patel by making obscene video calls have been arrested. The arrested are natives of Rajasthan. The incident related to the case took place last June.

According to the police the minister received a call on WhatsApp and as soon as he took it, the call started showing obscene scenes. He immediately cut the call. The minister later received a call from another person threatening to post the footage on social media, and as a result, the minister reported the incident to the police.

Mohammad Vakil and Mohammad Sahib have been arrested in the case. The minister informed that the incident is being investigated in detail and efforts have been started to find others behind it.
