NEW DELHI: Shashi Tharoor said that the terrorism problems faced by India and the circumstances that led to Operation Sindoor will be informed to India's global partners. He was speaking to the media before leaving for Guyana with an all-party delegation.
"We will highlight the values that India upholds and its relevance globally. We must send a message to the world that we will not be silenced by terrorism. We don’t want indifference to triumph over the truth. It’s a mission of peace. It’s a mission of hope. And it’s a mission that will one day remind the world that India stands for all the values we need to preserve in the world today of peace, of democracy, of freedom and not of hatred, killing and of terror. Jai Hind,” he said in his video message."
Trump's intervention explained to Russia
The all-party delegation has arrived in Russia to explain the issue of US President Donald Trump's intervention to bring about a ceasefire between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor.
DMK leader Kanimozhi, who led the delegation, said that it is customary for heads of state to talk to each other when there is a conflict but the final decision will be taken by the respective countries.
Kanimozhi pointed out that all prime ministers, including Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi, tried to establish lasting peace. Unfortunately, while peace talks were going on, terrorist attacks took place in various parts of India. All of them are linked to Pakistan.
India had no choice but to respond to the Pahalgam attack. India responded responsibly. It spared civilians and military bases, Kanimozhi told the media in Russia. The group members paid floral tributes to the Gandhi statue at the Indian Embassy in Moscow.
The all-party delegation led by JDU leader Sanjay Jha MP concluded its visit to Japan and reached the South Korean capital Seoul. They also interacted with the Indian community in Japan. They paid tributes at the tomb of freedom fighter Rash Behari Bose at the Tama Crematorium in Tokyo.
