‘Stapled genitals; youths hung and tortured'; Couple arrested in honey trap case

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Pathanamthitta police have arrested a couple for honey-trapping and extorting money from youths. They are also tortured brutally. Two youths from Ranni and Alappuzha were subjected to brutal harassment. The couple identified as Jayesh and Reshmi were arrested in the incident. The incident happened at Charalkunnu in Pathanamthitta. Police said the suspects are mentally unstable.

The youth from Ranni was attacked on September 1. Jayesh picked the youth from Maramon Junction. Reshmi was in friendly relationship with the youth. Jayesh asked the youth to pretend having sex with his wife. He then captured the video of it. The couple then hung the youth, sprayed chilly and then stapled his genitals. They also pulled out his nails. After beating him, the couple abandoned the youth on the road. He was taken to the hospital by the drivers.

Another youth from Alappuzha was also harassed in a similar manner. The youth, who works in Bengaluru, had come to Thiruvalla to meet Reshmi. Jayesh then picked him from there and took him home. The youth initially did not disclose the matter to anyone due to embarrassment. The police registered a case based on the information received from the hospital. The police also found that the couple had stolen money and an iPhone from the youth. Reshmi is presently in Pathanamthitta Women's Station and Jayesh in Aranmula Station. The police also informed that a special team has been appointed for further investigations.
