15,300 litres of adulterated milk from Tamil Nadu busted, hydrogen peroxide mixed to keep milk from spoiling

KOLLAM: Adulterated milk brought to Kerala in a tanker from Tamil Nadu was seized here in Aryankavu. In an inspection conducted by the animal welfare department officials at the Aryankavu check post on Wednesday morning, a vehicle carrying 15,300 litres of milk mixed with hydrogen peroxide was seized.

The seized milk was handed over to the health department. As per the officials at the animal welfare department, this milk was brought to a company in Pandalam in Pathanamthitta. Hydrogen peroxide is added to keep the milk from spoiling for a long time. Officials said that more things will be clear only after the tests of the health department.
