Attempt to sexually assault 16-year-old boy in Kasaragod, files complaint

KASARAGOD: A complaint has been filed for trying to sexually assault a 16-year-old boy, who was standing on the roadside. The student, who escaped after hitting the attacker with his helmet, informed his parents. He then went to Kasaragod Melparamb station and filed a complaint.


The incident happened Thursday afternoon. The boy was waiting for a bus at the stop. A man on a scooter asked him a way. As he was not satisfied with the boy’s reply, forced him to show the way and took him on his scooter. He later took him to a deserted place and tried to sexually assault him.

After hitting the man with the helmet, he ran away. The complaint said the man also escaped on his scooter. The Melparamba police said that an investigation is underway into the incident and that CCTV footage is being examined.
