Bail granted to director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan in harassment case

KOCHI: The Ernakulam Magistrate Court has granted bail to director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan in the case of insulting womanhood. He was arrested last night on the complaint of a popular actress. He was produced in the court after detailed interrogation. His phone has been taken into custody by the Elamakkara police.

Sanal Kumar, who arrived at the Mumbai airport while returning to Kerala from the United States, was detained by the immigration department. A team led by the Elamakkara SHO brought him to Kochi. His arrest was recorded after a medical examination.

There are complaints against him for insulting femininity, spreading slander, and spreading fake voice messages. The actress had filed a similar complaint against him in 2022. The new case is while he was on bail in that case.
