Bus owner, son hacked in flat; private bus strike in Ottappalam-Thrissur route

PALAKKAD: A private bus owner and his son were hacked in their flat by a group of 10. The incident took place at Ottapalam in Palakkad. The injured are Sunil Kumar, a native of Thrissur, and his son Kiran. The bus crew who were with them in the flat were also injured. The private bus employees on the Ottapalam-Thrissur route are on strike demanding that the assailants be found immediately.

A group on bikes attacked the flat while they were eating after the end of daily bus service. The bus conductor Kunnathuveetil Rajan and Ratheesh from Kodali, Thrissur were injured. All the four injured have been admitted to Ottapalam Taluk Hospital. It is not clear who is behind the attack.
