Children kidnapped after school from Ernakulam found at Guwahati Airport; Assam natives arrested

KOCHI: Two children missing from Ernakulam have been found in Assam. Children of Assam natives went missing from Ernakulam Vaddakekara yesterday. They were found at Guwahati Airport. Vadakkekara police nabbed the gang that kidnapped the children.

Raham Ali, Jahad Ali, Samnas and Sahdia, natives of Guwahati, were arrested. It was Sahdia who left for Guwahati with the children from Nedumbassery airport. As per the instructions of the police, the airport security personnel found the children and detained Sahdia who was with them. Vadakkera police is on their way to Guwahati to bring them back.

The children's parents had received financial assistance from Sahdia. It was the dispute over the return of this money that led to the abduction of the children. Sahdia, Samnas and two friends in Kochi are the ones who planned and executed the kidnapping. The four of them nabbed the children who were leaving after school and took them to Assam by plane. The children and the accused were found during the investigation conducted on the complaint lodged by the children's parents with the Vadakkekara police.
