Court sentences woman, husband to 180 years for sexually abusing minor girl 

MALAPPURAM: A court sentenced a woman and her husband to 180 years in prison for abusing her minor daughter after making her consume liquor. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 11,75,000. The verdict was pronounced against a woman of Thiruvananthapuram and her husband of Palakkad. The Manjeri Fast Track Court delivered the verdict.

The incident happened in 2019. The girl was subjected to rape for two years from 2019 to 2021 by her stepfather. The accused were charged with sexually assaulting a minor girl, raping her by giving her alcohol, and exposing her naked body.
