KOLLAM: Husband pours boiling fish curry on wife who refused to wear an amulet. The incident took place in Anchal, Kollam. Rajila (34), a native of Ayoor, Vayakkal, who suffered burns on her face and body, is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Rajila's husband Sajeer (40) is absconding after the incident. Kollam Chadayamangalam police have registered a case against him. The couple, who had been at loggerheads for a long time, recently started living together again.

Rajila contracted chickenpox and was undergoing treatment after she and her husband started living together again. Rajila also suffered from medical issues. Sajeer believed that the reason for Rajila's constant illness was the work of the devil. Then he met an ustad in person and explained the matter. He brought a sacred amulet from him.

Although Sajeer asked Rajila to wear the amulet he received from the ustad, she was not ready to comply. This led to an argument and a fight between the two. Angered at Rajila, Sajeer threw fish curry that was boiling on the stove onto her body. The woman told the police that her husband had forced her to wear the amulet that he had bought from a sorcerer after chanting. Rajila was first admitted to a private hospital in Ayoor and then to a private hospital in Anchal.
