Sexually abused sisters after getting close to them; parents' friends arrested

ALAPPUZHA: Police have arrested two men for sexually abusing sisters in Alappuzha. The arrested men are Mulakkuzha native Deepumon (35) and Venmani native MR Manoj (49). Police said that both the accused are friends with the girls' parents and took advantage of this friendship to get close to the girls. The victims, who are two sisters from Venmani in Alappuzha, were staying in a hostel for their studies when the incidents took place.

The accused were nabbed by the police team led by Venmani Police Station Inspector SHO Abhilash MC. Both the accused were produced in court and remanded.
