KOLLAM: A youth created panic during a temple festival in Kundara. Ajoy Ashokan of Kundara created a tense situation during the temple fest. He engaged in a heated exchange with people who came for the festival and even attacked some. The incident happened during the fest held at the Ambipoika Devi Temple at Njaliyod in Kundara the other day.

Ajoy Ashokan’s brother had died in an accident two months ago. He had requested the temple authorities many times not to hold the festival as party of mourning. He created an issue by demanding this during the temple administration committee meeting. Following this, the temple authorities had already filed a police complaint against the youth.

The fest is being conducted by various families of the place. So, the committee decided to proceed with the festival as usual. When the fest was conducted, he came with his friend and brandished his machete creating a tense situation in the area. He also attacked some physically. The Kundara police started an investigation based on the complaint of the temple administration.
