Youth held for sexually assaulting woman in KSRTC bus

KOZHIKODE: A youth was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman in the KSRTC bus. The woman was sexually assaulted in the bus coming from Bengaluru to Kozhikode. The police arrested Faisal (37) of Idukki Thodupuzha Puthenpurakkal.

The incident happened last night at around 10 pm. When the youth in the next seat kept touching her private part, the girl reported to the conductor. The woman said that he started harassing her when the bus reached the pass. The bus was taken to Thamarassery police station and the accused was handed over to the police.

The police registered a case against the accused on the complaint of her. The woman is from Kunnamangalam and working in Bengaluru.

A woman was sexually assaulted inside a KSRTC bus in Kozhikode the other day. The 23-year-old woman was assaulted in the bus going to Kozhikode from Mananthavady. The incident happened in a crowded bus. Soon after the incident, the woman beat the youth. The driver reported the incident to the police, but a case was not filed as she said that she has no complaint. The woman said as she has punished the youth who committed the crime, is not filing a complaint.
