THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have obtained a chat from the phone of Sukanth, accused in the suicide of IB officer. In the chat, Sukanth is asking the girl when is she going to commit suicide.

Sukanth is repeatedly asking her when is she going to take the drastic step. The girl replied that she will die. The accused' Telegram chat emerged. The girl told the youth that she is not interested in living on this earth. Sukanth replied then that he can marry her (another woman) only if she dies. The girl then asked him what she should do, he replied, you go and die, then asked when she would die. The girl replied that she will end her life on August 9. The IB officer was found dead on the railway tracks near Chakkai in Thiruvananthapuram on March 24.

She was in a relationship with Sukanth, her colleague. The police case is that the girl committed suicide due to mental pain after Sukanth withdrew from the relationship after exploiting her financially and physically.

The police have got evidence of the girl's abortion and a WhatsApp chat between Sukanth and her. The IB officer had spoken to Sukanth just before her death. He has been absconding since his role came to light. He had earlier been dismissed from his job.

The court had yesterday stayed his arrest till Monday. The high court will pass the order on Sukanth’s anticipatory bail plea on Monday. The Pettah police have imposed charges including rape and kidnapping.
