THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: UDF convener Adoor Prakash said the party will take a decision on the issue related to Rahul Mamkootathil only after collective talks. He was responding to the media after Rahul’s suspension. A detailed investigation will be conducted into the allegations. He added that the Congress has a collective leadership.

‘The party has not taken a complete decision on the issue related to Rahul. He resigned youth congress president’s post out of moral responsibility. I don’t think that the decision is wrong. Rahul took an appropriate decision. Our MLA should not resign without investigating the matter. A detailed investigation is needed in this. Let us investigate. I am not of the opinion that Rahul should resign just because the leaders want him to step down. The Congress has a collective leadership. A decision will be taken after holding talks. The KPCC president will announce it after holding talks,' said Adoor Prakash.

Rahul resigned his president’s post following the actress' revelation. Details of Rahul's chats with several women came to light later. With this, pressure had been mounting on Rahul to resign his MLA post. Rahul has been suspended from the Congress for six months amid talks in the party.
