19-year-old student stabbed by seniors during Onam celebrations in Kochi college

KOCHI: A student of ACT Catering Institute, Ravipuram, Kochi, suffered injuries after getting stabbed during a clash that erupted during Onam celebrations. The incident took place yesterday afternoon. Abhinaj (19) was stabbed during an argument with senior students.

The complaint states that senior students attacked Abhinaj during an argument. The students also alleged that the institute authorities were late in reporting the incident to the police. The injured Abhinaj sought treatment at a private hospital in Kochi. The student was stabbed in the hand. Onam celebrations were held at the institute on Friday. An argument over wearing a mundu(dhoti) resulted in the clash.
