Abu Dhabi bound Air India flight makes emergency landing after bird hit

KANNUR: An Air India flight made an emergency landing after a bird hit during takeoff. The flight was bound to Abu Dhabi. A bird hit the plane during takeoff. The plane, which was moved to the airport bay, was examined for technical issues. The authorities have informed that there are no damages.

The bird hit the plane that took off at 6.30 am on Sunday. The plane circled in the sky for about 45 minutes and landed safely after reducing fuel. There were about 180 passengers on the plane. Authorities said they will be taken to Abu Dhabi on a flight from Sharjah to Kannur.


Meantime, passengers protested at the Thiruvananthapuram airport after the last-minute cancellation of the Air India Muscat flight. The information about the cancellation of the flight was received an hour before departure. The passengers came to know about the cancellation when they arrived for boarding. However, the authorities have not informed the reason for the cancellation of the flight.


The Air India Muscat flight that was scheduled to depart from Thiruvananthapuram airport at 7.30 am this morning was cancelled at the last minute. Air India officials have informed that today's tickets have been rescheduled for the 17th. However, many of the passengers had to resume work tomorrow. Following this, they protested at the airport.
