Attention vehicle users! 29301 people fined in Kerala in last seven days

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 29,301 vehicles were fined in a state-wide inspection conducted by the Traffic and Road Safety Management Division of the Kerala Police against those illegally parking their vehicles on the road. The violation was discovered during a seven-day inspection from September 21 to 27.

The violations were found to have occurred in 9489 cases on state highways, 8470 on national highways, and 11342 on other roads. The inspections were conducted in high-risk areas, high-traffic roads, important junctions, and service roads.

The inspections were conducted under the supervision of Traffic North Zone and South Zone SPs in collaboration with the District Traffic Nodal Officers under the instructions of Traffic and Road Safety Management IG S. Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar. The IG also informed that such inspections will be continued and necessary steps will be taken to make road traffic safer.
