THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram DCC President Palode Ravi’s leaked phone conversation, unabashedly critiquing the Congress party, has stirred the political cauldron in Kerala. In the audio, Ravi hinted at the brewing discontent in the party and how Congress will end up in third spot in the upcoming local body polls. After the audio triggered a controversy, Palode Ravi explained to the media that his intentions were genuine, to caution the party to rejuvenate its work for the upcoming polls.

“Being DCC president, I receive calls from many workers who often dial to complain. I was just warning them of the danger lurking and wanted to remind them of the need for unity to win elections. Even if there exist disputes or differences, they need to be sorted out,” responded Palode Ravi to the media.

Palode Ravi’s leaked phone conversation:

“Congress will fall to third place in the Panchayat elections. In the assembly elections, they will fall flat on their face. The Muslim section will go to other parties and the CPM, while a few will join the BJP. You people are not aware of the BJP's mission in 60 crucial assembly seats. They will splash money and will reap votes in return. The Congress party will fall to third place, and the Marxist party will get back to power for the third time. There is not even a single Congress leader who is connected with people on the ground level. The leaders are just waiting for their turn to stab from the back.”
