Branch secretary stabbed in clash between CPM-Congress workers; DYFI regional president suffers head injury

KOLLAM: Several people injured in a clash between CPM and Congress workers in Kadakkal. The issue related to the school parliament elections turned into a scrimmage. CPM Kattadimoodu branch secretary Vidhu was stabbed in the clash. DYFI regional president Arun was injured in the head. Several Congress workers were also injured in the incident.

Congress-Youth Congress-KSU workers had taken out a protest march in connection with the school parliament elections. The clash broke out during the march. Congress workers said that DYFI workers had vandalised the shop of Congress worker Ansar. The Congress office in Kadakkal was vandalised. Congress alleged that CPM and DYFI workers were behind the attack.
