THRISSUR: In a frightening revelation, an unmarried couple has been accused of burying newborn babies. The shocking incident is reported in Thrissur's Puthukkad. The couple, aged 26 and 21, both natives of Vellikulangara, have been taken into custody in the incident.

The Puthukkad police reported that the couple were collecting bones from the buried babies with the hope of warding off evil spirits. The young man arrived at the police station yesterday evening with the bones of two newborn babies in a bag. As soon as the incident was reported, the police took both of them into custody.

Two newborn babies were buried by the couple after falling blindly for the superstition. An investigation is also underway to determine whether the babies were killed and buried. The couple had their first baby three years ago. After giving birth, the woman informed her partner about the newborn’s death. The couple then decided to bury the baby and collect bones. A detailed probe is underway.
