THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The opposition's uproar over the Sabarimala gold issue, which disrupted the proceedings of the House, resulted in the suspension of three members. M Vincent, Saneesh Kumar and Roji M John were suspended. The action was taken after Chief Marshal Shibu sustained an injury to his right hand. The opposition members tried to rush to the Speaker's podium but were stopped by the watch and ward. The Chief Marshal was injured in the resultant pushing and shoving.

The Speaker accepted the resolution moved by Minister M.B. Rajesh demanding action against the opposition members. The resolution was presented at a time when the opposition walked out of the House. The minister said that the doctors of the medical college informed him that the Chief Marshal needed to undergo surgery.

Satheesan alleged Chief Minister body-shamed an opposition member. The Speaker said that the point of order should be raised during the zero hour. Satheesan questioned the speaker’s silence while the ministers were making insulting remarks. With this, the opposition members came with banners and rushed to the speaker’s podium. The watch and ward surrounded the area to protect the Speaker.

The Speaker asked the Watch and Ward to remove the banner. The Speaker repeatedly asked the second banner, which read 'Ayyappan's gold turned into copper,' to be removed, but the Watch and Wards retreated after Najeeb Kanthapuram raised his voice. Meanwhile, Minister Rajesh defended CM, saying that the CPM numero uno didn’t point out any members while scoffing at the height of a member.

The House was in chaos for the fourth consecutive day and had to be adjourned. When it reconvened after 25 minutes, the Speaker informed that the Chief Marshal had been injured. Satheesan alleged that the Chief Marshal of previously presented a false certificate claiming that his arm was broken. The Speaker corrected the opposition leader, saying that the LoP was mistaken as the chief marshal was a new member.
