ALAPPUZHA: Cyber ​​police arrested a youth who propagated a fake video in the pretext of a zipline accident in Wayanad. The Wayanad Cyber ​​Police arrested Ashkar Ali, a native of Thiruvampady, Alappuzha. The police clarified that Ashkar is an accused in four cases in Alappuzha.

The accused made a fake video using AI on the pretext of an accident at a tourist destination in Wayanad district and circulated it on various social media platforms. The fake video showed a woman getting ready to board the zipline with her baby, after which the line suddenly breaks and the operator falls to the bottom.

After the investigation, the police confirmed no such accident took place, and the video was adjudged fake. The accused was arrested following a detailed investigation by the cyber police.
