THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A note written by RSS-BJP activist Anand K Thampi, who committed suicide after being denied a seat in the election in the Thrikkannapuram ward in the local body elections, is out. The WhatsApp message he sent to his friends just before ending his life is out in public.

According to Anand;

He had informed the RSS district workers about his interest in contesting as a BJP candidate in Thrikkannapuram. However, the sand mafia, now calling shots in the RSS and, BJP, ensured to deny him a seat. Anand thus decided to become an Independent candidate in the ward. However, he had a tough time coping with the mental pressure from RSS and BJP workers. It is alleged that even his close friends started distancing themselves from him.

"It doesn't matter where my body is buried, but I humbly request that BJP and RSS workers not be allowed to see my mortal remains. I lived as an RSS worker, and I consider this the biggest mistake I made in life. Even now, at the time of my death, I remain an RSS worker. That led me to commit suicide today," from Anand's suicide note.

Meanwhile, the BJP leadership clarified that Anand's name was not in the list of candidates.
