Three migrant workers die after falling into tank full of chicken waste

MALAPPURAM: Three people died in an accident at a poultry waste plant in Areekode. The accident occurred while cleaning a poultry waste tank. The deceased were identified as migrant workers Vikas Kumar (20), Samad Ali (20) and Hitesh Sharanya (46). Two of them are from Bihar and one is from Assam. The accident occurred around 11 am.

A worker fell into the tank while cleaning a poultry waste plant. Two others fell inside while trying to save him. All three were taken to Manjeri Medical College but could not be saved. The bodies have been kept at the Medical College morgue.
