Four of family found dead inside house in Kannur, probe underway

KANNUR: Four members of a family were found dead inside their house in Kannur on Monday. Four people, including two children, were found dead. The incident took place at Vadakkumbad, Ramanthali, near Payyannur in Kannur.

K.T. Kaladharan (38), his mother Usha (60), and Kaladharan's children Hima (5) and Kannan (2) were found dead. Kaladharan's wife is a native of Annur. Police suspect mass suicide.

All four were found dead at around 8 pm. The locals immediately informed the Payyannur police. The police confirmed the death after they arrived and inspected the house. The children were found lying on the floor, and the adults were hanging. The initial conclusion is that Kaladharan and Usha committed suicide after killing the children. Family dispute is believed to be the reason. The Payyannur police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
