THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that Sree Narayana Guru is a great soul who showed what a human being is, what religion is and what the concept of God is through extremely simple and beautiful words. "The Guru shed the light of great ideas about justice in society through his own visions." The Chief Minister was inaugurating the grand gathering held at Chempazhanthi Gurukulam on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru's 171st birth anniversary.
"The centenary of Guru's Samadhi is approaching in three years. This should be celebrated as a year of spreading Guru's message at the international level. Guru was able to see everyone equally in a dark era filled with caste, religion, superstitions and immorality. The new society came to the word 'inclusive' used in the modern era from that perspective. The aim was to bring everyone together without leaving anyone behind. The word 'fraternity' was included in the preamble of the Constitution because Guru's message of brotherhood was already here to spread light," said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Kadakampally Surendran MLA presided over the function. Sree Narayana Dharma Sangh Trust President Swami Sachidananda delivered the Jayanti message.
