THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Budget 2023 has earmarked development funds for Sabarimala and related pilgrimage centres in the state. Rs 30 Crores have been allocated for the Sabarimala master plan and 10 crores for Erumeli master plan. Rs 2.5 crores have been sanctioned for the development of Nilakkal.
At the same time, the Finance Minister announced that steps will be taken to solve the increasing wild animal nuisance in the state. Rs 50.85 crores have been earmarked for this purpose. Rs 28 crores will be allotted for fixing the forest borders. The Finance Minister also announced that Rs 10 crore has been allotted for the supply of drinking water at Sabarimala.
