KSRTC Gavi bus catches fire in Manimala; all 28 passengers safely evacuated

KOTTAYAM: A KSRTC bus caught fire in Manimala Pazhayidam on Wednesday. The bus with tourists was heading from Malappuram to Gavi. No passengers were injured in the incident. The bus was brought to a halt after many noticed smoke emanating from the vehicle. The 28 passengers on the bus were evacuated safely.

The Kanjirappally Fire Force arrived and extinguished the fire. The bus has been completely charred. A major tragedy was averted due to the timely intervention of the staff. Another bus was brought from the Ponkunnam depot, and the journey resumed.
