KSRTC to start free medical consultations and testing labs for employees; decision following Kaumudi report
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of reducing work pressure, KSRTC will redeploy staff and including ministerial staff. In this regard, Minister K.B. Ganeshkumar has instructed Pramoj Shankar, Chairman and Managing Director of KSRTC. Free medical consultation has also been started for employees. For this, Dr. Karanjith has been appointed as the medical officer. Online consultation will be available from Monday to Thursday. Employees will be made part of the Karunya scheme.
Last year, more than 60 people died while working in KSRTC. So far this year, 16 people have died. The action was taken following a report published by Kerala Kaumudi on February 17, pointing out this issue. Minister Ganeshkumar came up with solutions after discussing with management representatives. Salaries will be paid before 5th of every month. The minister's discussions with the bank in this regard also bore fruit.

- Rajiv Gandhi Biotechnology's testing center including MRI scanning will be started at the KSRTC premise
- Employees will be able to get tested at a low cost.
- Collection centers for various tests will be started from next week.
