'Maligned me with affair rumours, used Islamophobic slur'; Ansiba Hassan hits out at Tiny Tom

KOCHI: Actress Ansiba Hassan blamed actor Tiny Tom and some others for her decision to resign from the actors’ organisation 'Amma’. Ansiba also accused Tiny Tom of spreading vile rumours that she enjoyed affair with everyone. Ansiba said she was also insulted with jihadi slurs. The actress said that she was portrayed in such a bad light.

“The executive member filed a false complaint with the police against me. The AMMA president and secretary did not stand by me. I am going through severe mental stress. I am not ready for legal action,' the actress clarified.

Ansiba Hassan recently resigned from the executive committee of AMMA. She was the joint secretary of the organisation. President Shwetha Menon had informed the media that Ansiba's resignation had been accepted. Ansiba was the only office bearer elected unopposed. Shwetha Menon said that Ansiba resigned due to professional and personal reasons. Ansiba tendered her resignation on February 21.

Meanwhile, it is reported that there is unrest within 'Amma' after the sacked employee had to be reinstated and the treasurer was given compulsory leave. The resignation of Ansiba Hasan has also exacerbated turmoil within the governing body. The internal problems were made public by a complaint filed by office manager Athulya Prakash to the AMMA governing body, of which Shwetha Menon is president and Kukku Parameswaran is general secretary. The complaint was that Treasurer Unni Sivapal dismissed her without following legal procedures.
