Laser lights and high-frequency audio systems; MVD seizes 15 tourist buses

KOCHI: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) has seized several modified tourist buses during a special inspection in Ernakulam district. A total of 15 tourist buses fitted with bright laser lights and high-frequency audio systems were taken into custody.

Officials stated that these buses cannot operate again until all illegal modifications are removed and the vehicles are presented for re-inspection. Instructions have also been issued to cancel the fitness certificates of buses that had undergone major structural changes.

The Enforcement RTO said that more squads will be formed in the coming days to intensify inspections across the district.
