LDF without opposition in numerous locations; multiple winners before election polls itself

KANNUR: The nomination of UDF candidate U Nithyasree from CPM stronghold Malapattam Kavunthala was rejected after the signature was found to be fake. LDF candidate MV Shigina was unopposed in the ward.

The nomination of the UDF candidate was rejected in the 10th ward of Kannapuram panchayat. LDF's Thrikkoth Prema Surendran won after the nomination of UDF candidate NA Gracy was rejected on close scrutiny.

In Anthoor Municipality, where there is no opposition, K Rajitha won unopposed in Morazha ward, K Premarajan in Podikkundu ward, IV Othenan in Aduvappuram North in Malapattam panchayat, and CK Shreya in Aduvappuram South.

P Reethi and PV Reshma were elected unopposed in Ward 13 and Ward 14 of Kannapuram Panchayat, respectively. LDF is unopposed in Ward 10 of Madikai Panchayat in Kasaragod, Bankalam.
