THRISSUR: AICC General Secretary Deepa Das Munshi, who is in charge of Kerala, admitted that the party has not received any complaints against MLA Rahul Mamkootathil. There is no FIR against Rahul with the police.

“Rahul resigned from the Youth Congress charge. What can the party do without receiving any complaints? This is not a legal battle. The party has always stood on the side of morality. It will continue to be so. Rahul was not removed from the party; he resigned himself,” Deepa Das Munshi clarified.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Rahul may be removed from the post of MLA in the wake of the allegations. Opposition leader VD Satheesan also told the media that the allegations related to Rahul Mamkootathil will be investigated seriously, and action will be taken without compromise. There is also a move to exclude Rahul Mamkootathil from the Kerala School Science Festival Organising Committee meeting. Education Minister V Sivankutty gave the instruction to the officials of the General Education Department.
