No police, youth finally controls traffic, wins hearts

KOTTAYAM: A traffic jam is witnessed in most places of the city due to Onam. As Onam celebrations are on, the police failed to turn up to control the traffic. A youth who was annoyed with the traffic jam, controlled the traffic at Karukachal Central Junction for hours. Seeing the difficulties of the youth, the locals presented him a garland of notes. The youth is a native of Chambakkara.

The youth dressed in a lungi and shirt, controlled the traffic alone for three hours and is winning hearts. He controlled the vehicles coming from three main roads better than the traffic police and allowed vehicles to pass in each direction at regular intervals. Passersby and locals were stunned seeing the youth controlling the traffic efficiently. He was seen scolding the drivers who violated the law.

Even after reporting the traffic jam at the police station, no one came. The locals said that it may be because of the Onam celebrations. Many hailed the youth for his act. Some bought bottled water as a token of gratitude.
