KOCHI: Actors Jayasurya and Baburaj have approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the sexual harassment case. Jayasurya pointed out in the petition that the complaint was baseless and that there was no shooting on the days mentioned in the complaint. Jayasurya currently has two sexual harassment cases against him.

Jayasurya said in his plea that there was no shooting on the days mentioned in the complaint. He added that he is yet to see the FIR in person as he was abroad and that he would return home next Wednesday. A case was registered against Jayasurya based on the actress' statement that she was sexually assaulted during the shooting of a film at the secretariat. The Thiruvananthapuram Cantonment police have registered a case under sections 354, 354A and 509.

The actress had revealed in front of the media that the actor hugged and kissed her in the corridors of the secretariat during the shoot of a movie years ago. Baburaj has filed an anticipatory bail plea on the complaint of a junior artist who alleged that Baburaj sexually abused her on the pretext of giving her a chance in films.
