Arun left, giving a new life to six strangers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The organs of J Arun (44), a native of Manarcaud in Thiruvanchoor, Kottayam, who was declared brain dead, will give new life to six people. Two kidneys, a liver, a heart valve and two corneas were donated to patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Kerala. Arun was the branch manager of Yes Bank Thiruvananthapuram's Vazhuthacaud branch. He was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on the 26th of last month following a brain haemorrhage. After his brain death was confirmed on Tuesday, his family members agreed to donate his organs.

The organ transplant procedures were completed under the leadership of the Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (K-SOTTO). The funeral will be held today (10th) at 2 pm at Kottayam. Arun's parents are P.R. Janardhanan Nair and M. Radhamani Amma. Wife: S. Devi Prasad. Children: Aditya Nair, Nithara Nair.
