P Indira to become mayor of Kannur Corporation

KANNUR: Deputy mayor P Indira will be chosen as the mayor of Kannur Corporation. Senior congress leader K Sudhakaran will announce her name at the press meet. Indira won from Payyambalam.

A fierce battle was witnessed in Payyambalam. Indira won with a majority of 49 votes. This is the third time Indira is becoming a councillor. It is reported that a unanimous decision was taken to make her the mayor. She is also a member of the District Congress Committee.
