Plus two failed students can select subject of their choice and study again

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The students who failed in twelfth standard will be given an opportunity to pass by selecting another subject of their choice. The government has issued an order for this to amend the higher secondary examination manual.

The students will have to take a fresh admission through SCOLE Kerala and study for two years.

The current rule is that if a student fails, then they have to write and pass the exam in that subject.

Plus One students could cancel the course and take admission again through single window system even after writing the main exam. Those who passed higher secondary had an opportunity to become special category students through SCOLE Kerala in another subject. No such consideration was given to those who fail. The General Education department has decided to change the manual after the students’ raised complaint.
