THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Popular actor Mohanraj, who gave life to the fierce villain character ‘Keerikkadan Jose’ passed away on Thursday. For a long Mohanraj has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease and was a chronic diabetes patient. He breathed his last at his home in Kanjiramkulam in Thiruvananthapuram.
Mohanraj rose to popular fame and was the stereotypical villain in Mollywood after the release of the classic 1989 film ‘Kireedam’. His portrayal of a local goon ‘Keerikkadan Jose’ in the movie, upended his career and made him popular among the masses by the eponymous character name.
His most famous works include, ‘Kireedam’, 'Chenkol', ‘Hallo’, ‘Narasimham’, and ‘Mayavi’.
