Private bus rams into pickup van in Kozhikode; 12 injured

KOZHIKODE: Several people were injured after a private bus collided with a pickup van in Chelannur, Kozhikode, on Monday. The incident took place at around 2:30 pm. 12 people on the bus were injured. The front of both vehicles was damaged in the impact of the collision. The bus was going from Kozhikode to Balussery, and the pickup van from Kakkur to Kozhikode.

The driver of the pickup van was not seriously injured. Locals said that a major accident was averted. The injured were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital and Balussery Private Hospital. It is said that the reckless driving by the private bus driver resulted in the accident.
