Rainfall expected in coming hours, orange alert issued in two districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod of Kerala in the coming three hours, the Central Meteorological Department said.

Rains are intensifying in the state as the cyclone formed over south Kerala turns into a low pressure. The Central Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of heavy rain in various districts of the state till the 11th of this month. According to this, orange alert has been announced in various districts these days.

Orange alert has been announced in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts today, Idukki tomorrow, Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts on the 10th and Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts on the 11th.

Along with this, yellow alert has been announced in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts today and Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam and Thrissur tomorrow.
