Schools reopen; CM inaugurates state level Praveshanolsavam, 2.44 lakh students in Class I

KOCHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the state level Praveshanolsavam at Elamakara Government Higher Secondary School in Ernakulam. Minister V Sivankutty presided over the function. Minister P Rajeev and other people's representatives were special guests.


The students of class one was received under the leadership of Minister V Sivankutty. The ministers gave sweets to the children. The chief minister handed over new school bags and other school supplies to the children. This was followed by the presentation of the Praveshanolsavam song.

MPs Hibi Eden, Jebi Mather, Thomas Chazhikkadan, MLAs Antony John, Anoop Jacob, K Babu, K J Maxi, Mathew Kuzhalnadan, P V Srinijin, Uma Thomas, K N Unnikrishnan, T J Vinod, district panchayat president Manoj Moothedan, Mayor advocate M Anil Kumar also spoke on the occasion.

2,44,646 children are in class one. There are a total of 39,94,944 students from pre-primary to higher secondary. Minister Sivankutty had the other day said that various programs will be implemented to increase the school facilities and learning standards.


The distribution of textbooks has been completed. The distribution of free uniforms to nine lakh students of LP and UP schools is in the final stages. Kerala is the first state to train teachers with the help of computer systems. The training of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was provided to 80,000 high school and higher secondary teachers.
