THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Students of the Thycaud Govt. Model Higher Secondary School interacted with Air Force Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, who was selected as an astronaut in India's proud Gaganyaan mission. He shared the amazing experiences of his dream journey to space travel.
Most of the questions were about how Prasanth came to the Gaganyaan mission and how one can achieve success if they work hard. Prasanth Nair explained the story of determination, hard work and sense of purpose that led him from an ordinary child in Palakkad to Gaganyaan. 'When we have a goal, we strive to make it a reality,' he said.
Prasanth said that the Model School is a school where many great people studied and that actor Mohanlal studied in this school and that he came to know about this from his wife and film star Lena. He added that when he came to the school, he came to know firsthand that there are excellent teachers here who work as a driving force in molding talents.
Former Project Director of Gaganyaan Dr Umamaheswaran, School Principal KV Pramod, PR Shiju and Freedom Mary JM spoke. The program was led by the school space club. Abhiram gave the welcome speech, and Muhammad Irfan proposed the vote of thanks.
